Community Outreach

Emanuel students are currently engaged in two community outreach programs.

Four days a week after school, student volunteers go with staff to the Eastern Respite and Recreation Centre in Maroubra and Rosebery, which offers after-school programs for teenagers with disabilities. Together they do fitness classes, swimming, ten-pin bowling, cooking and shopping.

Our students are also involved in The Green Gecko Project, which cares for street children in Cambodia, clothing, feeding, sheltering and educating them.

Senior students recently visited Nepal, where they undertook community work in a village school, contributing monies raised by Emanuel's Student Representative Council (SRC) to help purchase teaching and learning resources.
