Kashrut Policy

All food provided by Emanuel School is Kosher according to the guidelines of the NSW Kashrut Authority, Kosher Australia and other authorities approved by the Head of Jewish Life in consultation with representatives of the Jewish Life Committee.

Students and staff are requested not to bring any meat or products containing meat, such as gelatine, to School. In addition, only fish products which originate from fish with fins and scales are permitted.

Should the School declare a “Meat Day”, the School will provide and prepare Kosher meat on bbqs separate to the Canteen. Students and staff are requested to refrain from bringing dairy products to school on that day.
