Music Scholarships 2020
At Emanuel School, Music Scholarships are available to students entering Year 7 or Year 9 (currently enrolled in Years 5 and 7) who, in addition to performing well in academic scholarship testing, demonstrate exceptionally advanced performance skills on at least one instrument or voice.
To be considered for a 2020 Music Scholarship at Emanuel School applicants must do the following:
- Complete the online Music Scholarship application form, no later than Wednesday 6 February 2019 (see note below).
- Pass the initial screening. Only applicants that meet the Music Scholarship Criteria below will be invited early in 2019 to attend the Music Scholarship Test and Audition.
- Register by Wednesday 6 February 2019 for the ACER Academic Test, to be held at Emanuel School on Wednesday 13 February 2019.
- Attend the Music Scholarship Test and Audition on Thursday 28 February 2019.
Note: Not all Music Scholarship applicants will be invited to participate in the Music Scholarship Test and Audition. For applicants who are applying only for a Music Scholarship and wish to avoid unnecessary academic testing, please ensure you have completed the online registration form by Monday 3 December 2018. This deadline will allow the Music Department time to contact parents of students who will not be invited to participate in the Music Scholarship Test and Audition before they register and pay $93 for ACER academic testing. This contact will be made by 3.30 pm on Friday 7 December 2018. For students wishing to be considered for both the Music and Academic Scholarship, this is not a concern.
