Coordinator of Innovation (K-6)

Emanuel School is looking for an outstanding educator who will lead the process of bringing innovation to our Primary School learners. Through the lens of real-world problem finding and solving, this energetic and highly creative educator will reinforce the disciplined design process, develop computational and innovative thinking  in our students and will embed digital technology skills across the curriculum.

This is an exciting opportunity that does not come around every day. This is a well-established leadership role which has made a significant difference to our School and the education of our students. The successful candidate will be able to continue our current, exciting programs as well as having the opportunity to create vision and further innovate.  

From within and beyond our purpose built, makerspace (our Imaginarium), you will work with our talented team of teachers across all stages in order to deliver the Innovation Curriculum as well as creating inspiring extra-curricular opportunities to teach our students to be innovative and creative thinkers who work to solve real problems. 

This full time position is available from Term 1, 2022 and attracts a Coordinator 1 Allowance. This is a 1 year fixed term contract with a possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will be a NESA accredited Primary Teacher who holds the necessary tertiary qualifications, a valid WWCC and who has experience in a similar role and / or school environment. Additional qualifications in digital technologies or related disciplines will be considered favourably.

HSIE or English/HSIE Teacher (Full time, contract)

We are seeking an experienced teacher for either a HSIE position or an English / HSIE position. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching compulsory 7-10 HSIE, stage 6 Legal studies and/or 7-10 English.  This full time position is available from Term 1, 2022 for the remainder of the 2022 school year. 

The successful applicant will have a relevant degree/teaching qualification and be accredited with NESA.

Maths Teacher (Part time 0.6FTE, contract)

We are seeking a talented and passionate Maths teacher who is looking for part time work (0.6FTE). This is a contract role commencing in Term 1, 2022 for the remainder of the 2022 school year, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position.

The successful applicant will have a relevant degree/teaching qualification and be accredited with NESA.

Head of Jewish Studies (7-12)

We are looking for a Head of Jewish Studies (7-12) to join our team. The Head of Department will provide outstanding leadership of the School’s Jewish Studies Department, guiding reflective, future-oriented and evidence-informed best practice in the delivery of our classroom programs in the High School.

The Head of Jewish Studies (7-12) has overall responsibility for the leadership of all aspects of the Jewish Studies Department. They are responsible for building and maintaining strong involvement in the life of the School and the wider community and would be committed to supporting the ethos of the School. They are responsible for developing and fostering each student’s pride in their heritage, Jewish identity and connection with Israel.

This is a full time, permanent position, available from the commencement of 2022.

The successful candidate will be an effective communicator who holds students’ Jewish learning and development as the highest priorities. They will be an experienced, successful and qualified educator who is highly organised and professional, with a passion for ensuring the best possible education for students. They will be a lifelong learner, excited by innovation, committed to continuous improvement, and willing to contribute to a dynamic and future-oriented learning environment.

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree and teaching qualifications and be at least eligible to be accredited with NESA.

Primary School Hebrew-speaking specialist

We are looking to enhance our K-2 program with an enthusiastic Hebrew-speaking teacher who will develop and facilitate Hebrew education through creative arts or activity-based lessons.

Each class in Years K-2 would have one period per week in this program. This lesson could focus on music, drama, sport, dancing or art. You would plan a meaningful, engaging program that builds familiarity with Hebrew in a practical and dynamic manner.

If you are accredited with NESA and have a current Working With Children Check, we would love to hear what you can bring to our School. This is a permanent, part-time role, 0.2FTE. High level Hebrew skills are essential.
