Primary School Leadership
Schools develop citizens of tomorrow and so need to offer much more than training in academic subjects.
While some students may be seen to exhibit leadership characteristics earlier than others, leadership, and all the skills and ethics associated with leadership, need to be learned through careful direction and experience. A school needs to work in partnership with parents to identify and model these skills and values in a meaningful context. Since a school is a microcosm of society at large, school is the perfect place to nurture tomorrow’s leaders.
Our students are offered many opportunities for leadership through the Primary Student Representative Council (SRC), our House system, Madrichim (leaders) and our Year 6 Leadership program, giving every student the opportunity to lead the Primary School in their area of interest. Our annual Leadership experience for all Year 6 students explores ethical decision-making skills, how to create a harmonious and cohesive group and ways to communicate effectively.
