E-Learning
Emanuel School is a connected learning community that integrates technology seamlessly to maximise educational outcomes and opportunities for building 21st century skills.
Years K – 12
Emanuel School has a comprehensive mature technology program, delivering educational excellence and consistent service. Every student has their own device. Students in Years 5-12 have Macbook laptops, while our Primary School students K-4 have iPads. Students and staff are provided with a rich range of educational and professional software and Apps. We aim to incorporate Information and Communications Technology (ICT) into the general learning environment in meaningful ways, within the Harvard University’s Teaching for Understanding (TfU) and Cultures of Thinking (CoT) frameworks. We constantly look ahead, evaluating emerging technologies and planning our ICT provisions to support effective student learning.
Primary
Students in Years K-4 have their own iPad. Students are excited to use iPads, intuitively and quickly engaging with tasks rather than spending time navigating and learning software applications. There are class sets of MacBook Airs available for Primary students to use whenever a laptop might be needed. Students also benefit from the use of interactive whiteboards in all of our Primary School classrooms. Students create digital portfolios using SeeSaw to record work.
High School
Anywhere, anytime learning access to Reshet (Canvas), Emanuel’s online Learning Management System, allows students to engage creatively, access and submit work, and express deeper learning and understanding within a secure, enriched learning environment. Our Student, Parent and Staff portals provides wider communication for our school community and ensures users always have access to relevant information.
