RARE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE AT EMANUEL SCHOOL
The Emanuel School Canteen lies at the heart of our school community and carries with it a wonderful reputation. Our Canteen plays an integral role in the health and wellbeing of students and staff, providing a vast array of nutritious and delicious meals, drinks and snacks. There are also ongoing opportunities to cater for small school events and activities.
Members of our community are invited to submit an Expression of Interest to run the canteen using this highly successful model. This is a wonderful opportunity for a sole operator or small business looking to make our School their home.
A typical week in the canteen will include:
- Food preparation
- Management of online and over-the-counter orders
- Stock ordering and management
- Invoicing and supplier management
- Menu development
- Business administration, rostering and management of staff
Experience
The ideal operators will have experience working with food and/or running a cafe, catering business or similar. They will be familiar with food safety requirements and comfortable operating in a Kosher environment. They will love children and embrace our school environment and ethos.
Handover and timing
Our current operators are available for questions and have offered a thorough handover and support to the incoming team. We are looking for a new canteen team to commence operations by Wednesday 12 October 2022, ready for Term 4.

This must include an overview of skills, qualifications and experience, and a vision for what you would bring to our Canteen. After an initial screening process, suitable applicants will be invited to submit a formal tender.
